Kildonan Church
A group of enthusiasts have recently come together at the instigation of the Clan Gunn Society, with the aim of safeguarding the future of the Kildonan Church.
The group wants to ensure that the story of the church and its history in the Strath of Kildonan is recorded and the building kept in good repair.
The Friends of Kildonan Church have also agreed to ensure that an annual service and a lecture take place in the church.
An interpretive display is being designed to show the history of the church since its inception. The group is looking for old photos or pictures of the church and the Strath so that they can be copied and incorporated into the project.
Anyone with relevant material should contact Jacquie Aitken at Timespan in Helmsdale on 01431 821327. Membership of the new group is open to anyone for a one-off subscription of £5, through Timespan.
