Helmsdale salmon season on Jan 11th 2010.
The first 3 days of the season are free and open to the public again as usual and we are delighted to have Scott Mackenzie on hand for opening day on the Kilphedir pool.
The three times World Spey casting champion will be showing off his new range of rods & lines and offering some instruction and advice all day. Members of the Helmsdale Angling Club will be on hand dishing up refreshments to the large numbers of anglers who are sure to turn up. The first fresh salmon of the season caught will win one of Scotts new rods amongst other goodies providing the fish is verified and returned safely to the river.
